Spaxton C of E Primary School Celebrates World Book Day

Last week, pupils and staff at Spaxton C of E Primary School enjoyed a fantastic celebration of World Book Day. The day was filled with excitement and creativity as everyone dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing beloved stories to life.

The school embraced the spirit of reading with 'buddy' reading sessions across different classes, fostering a sense of community and shared enjoyment of literature. Our pupils also participated in the BBC Teach Live lesson on Reading for Pleasure, which inspired them to explore new books and reading styles.

One of the highlights of the day was the creative challenge to design a new front cover for their favourite book. The students showcased their artistic talents and imagination, producing wonderful and unique book covers.
